A Letter to our Donors about Coronavirus

Dear Donor and Life Saver,

At KEDPLASMA, the health and well-being of our donors, employees, patients, and our communities are our top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19). At this time, plasma is in extreme short supply, so we appreciate your generous gift of plasma donations now more than ever. We are committed to being responsive to the needs of all of our donors and employees at this time of uncertainty and continuing to be able to support the demand of life-saving therapies.

We put nothing ahead of the safety and security of our esteemed donors and that of our employees. As a reminder, we as an industry already have very strict, FDA regulated, sanitary and hygienic procedures that are enforced daily to ensure the safety of donors, employees and the plasma supply. KEDPLASMA employees are trained in the use of these detailed safety protocols and are also trained in universal precautions to help prevent the spread of any type of infection.

As a precaution against COVID-19, the following practices are in place at all of our centers:

  • Enhanced hygienic and sanitary measures which include frequent and extensive cleaning throughout the day of waiting areas, donor beds, equipment, door handles, faucets and all high traffic/touch areas.
  • Educational measures by providing Centers for Disease Control approved COVID-19 material in the centers to donors and staff
  • Social distancing measures of both employees and donors accomplished by efficient staff scheduling to donor ratios and including designated seating and donation beds to ensure proper spacing from entry to exit of donation experience
  • Enhanced vital sign monitoring measures of both donors and staff through temperature readings and health & travel questionnaires and follow-up

We appreciate your understanding, support and your selfless dedication to “saving lives” during this trying time.

With utmost thanks,
